Patchline

Home / Cold calling CRM UK

A cold calling CRM built for UK teams.

Most CRMs were designed for inbound leads and email. Patchline is a cold calling CRM: it finds the businesses to ring, dials them from the browser with UK checks before every call, and turns a good conversation into a signed proposal the same day.

In one browser tab

  • Lead finder by trade and town, with Companies House director names
  • Browser dialer, click to call or auto-dial (Growth and up)
  • TPS/CTPS screening, calling hours and opt-out records
  • Scripts and objection answers on screen
  • Call backs, calendar, texts and email
  • Quotes and proposals signed online

Why a calling-first CRM

Spreadsheets, a dialler and an e-sign tool don't add up to a system

A typical small outbound team works from three places. Leads sit in a spreadsheet that someone filled by copying from Google Maps. Calls go out through a phone system that only dials. Quotes are typed into Word, emailed as a PDF and chased by phone. Each hand-off is where a lead goes quiet, a call back gets missed, or two reps ring the same business on the same morning.

A general-purpose CRM fixes part of that, but it usually expects you to bring the leads, buy a dialler add-on and connect an e-signature service yourself. For UK calling you then need TPS and CTPS screening on top, plus a way to keep auto-dial inside Ofcom's rules on abandoned calls.

Patchline puts those pieces in one place, in the order a cold call actually happens: find, call, close.

How it works

Find, call, close, without leaving the lead

1. Find

Search by trade and town, for example "dentists in Chelmsford". The lead finder uses Google Maps listings, filters by rating and website, skips closed businesses and duplicates, and adds Companies House director names for limited companies, so your rep can ask for someone by name. On Growth and up, leads are scored A, B or C with a plain-English reason. You can also upload your own CSV or Excel lists. How to build a local call list →

2. Call

Reps call from the browser, with the script and objection answers on screen. Before the phone rings, the number is checked against your TPS/CTPS screening, calling hours in the lead's local time, and opt-outs. On Growth, auto-dial rings the next lead for them, one at a time, with Ofcom guard rails always on. About the power dialler →

3. Close

Book the meeting in the calendar, build a quote from your own price list and send a branded proposal by email, text or a link. You see when it's opened and when it's signed, and the deal moves to Won. Monthly services become a contract signed the same way. Sending a newer proposal stops the old link, so nobody signs old prices.

Made for the UK

What "UK-ready" means in practice

TPS and CTPS checks before the dial

Each ready-to-call lead is checked against the Telephone Preference Service and the Corporate TPS, through a screening service or a screened file you upload. In Block mode, a listed number, or one not screened in the last 28 days, won't ring unless you've recorded that the person agreed to be called. Screening is off until you choose Warn or Block, and the checking service is paid separately. TPS screening in detail →

Ofcom rules on auto-dial

Auto-dial only runs while a rep is at the screen with a working microphone. It plays a short information message instead of silence if the rep's line drops, pauses itself above 3% abandoned calls in 24 hours, won't redial an abandoned number for 72 hours and rings for at least 15 seconds. The 3% rule explained →

UK numbers and minutes

Every call shows one of your own UK numbers. Growth includes 1,000 UK minutes per rep a month; extra minutes are 4p to UK landlines and mobiles. Your first number is included and each extra one is £5 a month.

Records you can point to

Consent and opt-out history on every lead, a do-not-call list, a daily abandoned-call report and an audit log of logins, exports and setting changes.

Tools, not a guarantee. No software makes calling legal on its own. Patchline gives you the checks and the records; who you call, on what basis and what your reps say stays your responsibility. What the software does, and what's on you →

FAQ

Cold calling CRM questions

Anything else? hello@patchline.co.uk

What is a cold calling CRM?

A CRM built around outbound calls rather than inbound enquiries. As well as storing leads and deals, it helps you find people to call, dial them, record what happened, schedule the call back and move the deal to a close. Patchline does all of that in one browser tab.

Do I still need a separate dialler?

No. Patchline includes a browser dialer on every plan, with call recording. Auto-dial, which rings the next lead for the rep, is on Growth and White-label. Calls, texts and numbers are billed through us, so you don't need your own phone-network account.

Where do the leads come from?

The lead finder searches Google Maps by trade and town, with rating and website filters, and adds Companies House director names for limited companies. You can also search Companies House by industry and area; those firms need a phone number found (a Maps match or your upload) before they can be called. You can upload your own lists too.

Does Patchline make our cold calling compliant?

No software can do that on its own, and we don't claim it. It gives you TPS/CTPS screening, calling hours, consent and opt-out records, a do-not-call list and Ofcom guard rails on auto-dial. Who you call, on what basis and what is said stays your responsibility.

How long does setup take?

We set it up for you. Launch (£995) covers branding, numbers, users, one lead list, one script and a 60-minute training session. Done-For-You (£1,995) adds scripts written for your offer, 2-3 lead lists, templates, calendar setup and manager training.

Can we try it first?

Yes. Book a 20-minute demo and we'll search for your kind of prospect, ring one in practice mode and send a proposal. We're also taking a small number of pilot partners at a reduced setup price.
