Picks the next lead
From the rep's list or queue, skipping anyone outside calling hours (in the lead's local time), opted out, on the do-not-call list or blocked by TPS/CTPS screening. Due call backs ring at the right time.
Home / Power dialler UK
Patchline's auto-dial rings the next lead the moment a rep is ready, with the script already on screen. It never rings more people than you have reps, and Ofcom's abandoned-call guard rails are always on.
Always on, can't be switched off
Power, progressive, predictive
"Auto dialler" covers very different machines. A predictive dialler rings several numbers per agent and guesses when someone will be free. That is efficient for large call centres, but when more people answer than there are agents, somebody gets silence or a dropped call. Those are the abandoned and silent calls Ofcom treats as misuse.
A power or progressive dialler rings the next number only when a rep is free, so the call is connected to a person the moment it's answered. Patchline works this way: one lead at a time, from the rep's own browser phone, with a short pause between calls, a ring timeout and a maximum call length you set.
It is not a predictive dialler and it doesn't play recorded marketing messages. Automated recorded calls need specific consent under PECR, which is a different thing altogether.
A rep's hour
From the rep's list or queue, skipping anyone outside calling hours (in the lead's local time), opted out, on the do-not-call list or blocked by TPS/CTPS screening. Due call backs ring at the right time.
The opener and objection answers appear with the business name, town and director filled in, so the rep starts the call prepared rather than reading the lead cold.

Ofcom guard rails
If the rep's line drops just as the business answers, the person hears a short message giving your company name rather than dead air. That's why auto-dial won't start until the company name is set.
Every call is recorded with when it was answered and whether it was abandoned, and why. If abandoned calls go over 3% of answered calls in 24 hours, auto-dial pauses itself. An abandoned number isn't redialled for 72 hours.
Each call shows one of your own UK numbers, never a premium-rate one. Anyone who rings back hears your company name and can press 1 never to be called again; that's logged automatically.
On Growth and White-label, teams calling for several clients run a campaign each, and auto-dial watches each campaign's own abandoned-call rate. A daily abandoned-call report is kept.
Ofcom's policy, and whether the 3% figure still works as a threshold, is explained in our guide: Ofcom's 3% abandoned call rule. Guard rails reduce risk; they don't replace your own judgement or legal advice. What stays your job →
Plans with auto-dial
Auto-dial minutes cost the same as manual ones.
"Auto dialler" is the umbrella term. A power dialler rings the next number only when a rep is free, so answered calls go straight to a person. A predictive dialler rings several numbers per agent and can leave people answering to silence. Patchline's auto-dial is the power kind: one lead at a time.
Diallers are legal, but Ofcom can act against silent and abandoned calls as persistent misuse, and PECR rules on TPS/CTPS still apply to every live marketing call. Patchline builds in Ofcom guard rails and TPS/CTPS screening; how you use them, and who you call, stays your responsibility.
Growth (£79 per rep a month) and White-label (£119). Starter has the browser dialer with click to call, but not auto-dial.
No. The rep-present check, information message, 3% pause, 72-hour rest and 15-second minimum ring are always on.
No. Reps call from the browser with a headset. Calls, texts and numbers are billed through us, and your first UK number is included.
